RICHARD ZVEN KRUSPE

Richard je nejmladší ze čtyř dětí; má bratra a dvě sestry. Jeho rodiče se rozvedli, matka se znovu provdala a rodina se přestěhovala do vesnice Weisen, kde Richard strávil své dětství. Se svým nevlastním otcem si příliš nerozuměl. Údajně byl plaché dítě a aby si trochu zvýšil sebevědomí, začal sportovat. Docela úspěšný byl v boxu.
Vyučil se kuchařem a pracoval jako pokladní v obchodě s nápoji. Dá se říct, že na kytaru začal hrát vlastně náhodou. Když mu bylo šestnáct, zajel s několika kamarády do Československa a koupil si tu kytaru. V Německu byly hudební nástroje mnohem dražší než u nás a Richard plánoval, že na jejím prodeji vydělá nějaké peníze. Když seděli u táboráku, jedna dívka jej prosila, aby něco zahrál. A trvala na tom, i když jí Richard tvrdil, že vůbec hrát neumí. Napadlo ho ale, že holky mají rády kluky, kteří hrají na kytaru. Z plánovaného prodeje tedy nakonec sešlo a Richard v příštích dvou letech pilně cvičil.
Když mu bylo devatenáct let, přestěhoval se ze Schwerinu do Berlína. V roce 1989 se náhodou dostal doprostřed demonstrace proti politickému režimu v NDR. Byl zatčen, možná dokonce zraněn, a strávil několik dní ve vězení. Krátce po této události utekl přes Československo a Maďarsko do Rakouska a západního Německa. Do východního Berlína se vrátil v roce 1990. Hrál v kapelách „Das Auge Gottes“ a „Orgasm Death Gimmick“.
Na počátku devadesátých let chodil s bývalou manželkou Tilla Lindemanna. Z tohoto vztahu se Richardovi narodila dcera Khira Li Lindemann (vystupuje při skladbě „Tier“ na DVD Live aus Berlin a spolu s Tillem nazpívala píseň „Spieluhr“ na albu „Mutter“). V roce 1999 poznal v New Yorku herečku Caron Bernstein a po týdenní známosti ji požádal o ruku. Po svatbě přijal její jméno. Dnes bydlí Richard v New Yorku. Prý vlastní ranč v USA. Ale zda je to pravda, lze jen hádat. Velice dobře ovládá americkou angličtinu. Rád poslouchá Kiss, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Ret Hot Chili Peppers, Suicidal Tendencis nebo Panteru.
Mimo jiné napsal text písně „Engel“. V současné době se věnuje sólovému projektu Emigrate. CD natáčel v New Yorku. Mělo by prý být podobné stylu Rammstein. Na svém sólovém počinu Richard nejen hraje na kytaru, ale taky zpívá, ovšem anglicky.
